I just purchased this ice shelter. I find this shelter a very well made shelter. Heavy duty material 900 denier fabric! This shelter looks bullet proof.I have it set up in my pole building and sit it until ice fishing starts this year. It is huge inside and better made then tents! I’m also using it a a tent for a bear hunt this year in Northern Mn. Its built stronger the any tent! There is ample room for two cots maybe three, table, etc. So you can sleep out in it overnight and catch those 2;00a.m. biting walleyes!! Does not come with a floor. You can purchase one for $150.though. I’m just going to lay a 12×12 tarp on the ground and set this up on it when I’m using it as a tent. I will clamp the skirt to it with potato chip bag clips around the bottom to the tarp. I really like this shelter they did not skimp on quality! Specs, below.

Thermal technology retains heat, reduces condensation
Whopping 94 sq. ft. of fishable area – perfect for the whole family or large group
    Designed for removable Clam Floor!
    Super-tough 900 total denier fabric

Flex tested, extra large 11mm poles
Oversized skirt for ample snow banking
Oversized carry bag and cinch strap for easy re-packing

Lab tested hub assemblies – largest in the industry

Well thats good you bought a ice shack you used. Under 12 weeks and you should be using it. I’ve personally not had much luck with clam products but that was a few years back.
Hope the shack helps you this winter hunker down over a group of many hungry fish

I noticed Clam went to a different hub house this for their largest one. It is the C-860. The specs have changed for this year. Last year they had the Clam escape that I got and (I’m glad I did)! The Escape has 900 denier fabric, weighs 66 lbs, has 94 sq ft of space.
The new ones the C-860 model has a 600 denier fabric, weighs 55lbs, and went down to 89 sq ft. Maybe not allot there but the 900 should be allot warmer on a big lake with strong winds. The thing I disliked the most is you cannot get a insulated floor for the C-860 model.
With allot of the lakes getting flood water this year I do like the idea of using a large hub house. Allot of people with large houses are going to have lots of problems this year!! They Probably will miss allot of the early good bite. I like you can sleep in the large clam with cots AND can you pull it out with a ATV.

Actually there is two series this year. the one you are talking about is the C-890 model. there is also the 900 denier X series this year. the X600 is the new escape for this year and does have the add on floor as a option if you choose to buy the floor extra. the c series does not have the floor option. the other size house in the X series is the X400 which was the Refuge last year. in the C series there is the C-360, C-560, & C-890

Clam should start building robots, they got the names already all figured out.

Monticatgeek thanks. I guess I had things mixed for the new shelters. Glad they stayed with the 900 denier fabric for the new X600. I just had mine out a week ago. Really liked it! Did not put the floor in as we were not going to stay overnight for walleyes. Its nice to have two people to carry the bag and help set up. Although one could do it. I say the Escape can easily handle 3 large adults. Small people probably 4-5. My son and I have two large luxury cots and we can easily fit them in and have 3-4 rattle reel lines down for walleyes for the overnight. We unhook trailer with wheeler in it and hook trailer to back of wheeler and pile all the gear in the trailer. We can run on 5 inches of ice.
