Black core smoke with gold flakes please!
Joel
Ooooh, I like the sounds of this one.
To be honest, we’ve had a lot of great suggestions so far!
January 20, 2012 at 6:56 pm #1030592I’d like a size smaller moxie in all colors. white with a black spot like a gizzard shad for dirty water and firecracker with a black spot for clear water.
January 20, 2012 at 7:30 pm #1030610How about a bleeding minnow! Black Top, White Body & Tail with a red belly!
January 21, 2012 at 1:25 am #1030703you could add silver or gold glitter/flecks (scales) and a chartreuse or white tail to about any color and it would be a winner.
January 21, 2012 at 12:54 pm #1030764When it comes to fishing plastics without live bait, this off color purple twister tail is what started it all for me.
Turns out, its actually quite hard to capture its true color in a photograph.
The 2nd photo almost captures the color you actually see when holding these twister tails in your hand. The purple ringworm is in the photo for comparison only.
In the 2nd photo, look at the main body. At the very top of the main body, the photo comes pretty close to depicting its actual color.
If you put this twister tail on a jig and look at it while holding it just under the surface of the water, the color looks different than above water.I realize there is little chance that this color will make it through this selection process. But it has put a tremendous amount of walleyes in the boat for me, including my biggest ever. (31″ 11-1/2lbs)
Its become almost impossible to find anymore but I keep looking for it anyway. As many of us have found out over the years, many times, its not the flashiest color bait in your tackle box that the walleyes love the most.
January 21, 2012 at 2:45 pm #1030786Moxie in motoroil/gold glitter for sure. Big or small glitter — I’d buy it either way. I am also a fan of the white/clear with silver glitter idea. It would basically a clear water pattern with glitter that isn’t as loud as firecracker. Fine cut glitter in that pattern would be my preference.
I also think we have enough chartreuse tail patterns at this point.
January 23, 2012 at 3:44 pm #1031157Man have I enjoyed this post! That last pic, black core chartruese with some red/orange on the throat……MONEY!

X-2 Well done
I was thinking along the same line, just a little more red up front.
January 23, 2012 at 5:28 pm #1031200Here’s another one I’m always looking for.
Green pepper spots.
Not chartreuse pepper. Green Pepper!
January 24, 2012 at 3:40 pm #1031492This black core, chartruese with red belly was similar to something I was thinking of. I was thinking:
“blue core, chartreuse, with red fleck.”
But if a red belly is possible, better.
I am okay with black core also.

that color combo i had on some northland plastics years ago, and it to this day was the best color i’ve ever used in the spring. matched with a black or brown colored jighead.
X2 for a rootbeer body, orange tail. either way on the glitter.
February 10, 2012 at 2:47 am #1037372Have a color I’m about out of and haven’t found any more.
It is a brown and orange tail but the brown has a purplish iridescent hugh to it. Been a good one for me.February 29, 2012 at 12:12 am #1044283Quote:

Bob is awaiting samples of the colors chosen to ensure the new colors are accurate.
March 2, 2012 at 3:17 am #1045238I realize this contest is all over – but the color I have to have is called green tomato. It is an orange core with a darker chartreuse pepper over the outside. BEAUTIFUL… -in a ringworm… shhhhh! AND BRING BACK CHARTREUSE PEPPER SUPERDOOS – please, please, please!…
March 4, 2012 at 3:55 am #1045808and that chartreuse around the orange core has black and gold glitter…
May 16, 2012 at 12:49 am #687030Do we know if these colors have been made yet ? I was poking through the B Fish N site, looking for the Rootbeer and Orange combo, to put a order in for my trip to Canada next month, but can’t find any ? Anybody know ? I thought the top 4 would be made and available for spring walleye fishing on the river ???
May 16, 2012 at 5:11 am #1068504Thinking that myself, but they have been very busy, and I don’t think they’ve gotten to them yet. With that in mind, I know that was a month or two ago, so I don’t know the current word myself. I’d like to get a couple packs myself.
