Now this is how you give the customers what they want… you listen to them!

Bob Gillispie, owner of B FISH N Tackle Co. maker of the Moxie 4″ finesse plastic, came to In-Depth Outdoors with a pretty cool proposal.

Bob’s idea was simple… “let’s have the guys that fish these baits weigh in with suggestions for new colors and I’ll commit to making the top 4 patterns. And I’ll have them ready in time for the spring walleye run on the rivers!”

So here’s how this is going to work. Members can suggest a color pattern as a reply to this thread. One pattern per post, please.

Photos of a color pattern you’d like to see matched can be added as well but please don’t link to other manufacturer’s websites or borrow their photos. Suffice it to say, they won’t appreciate it. And how hard is it to take a cell phone pic of your own, really?

We’ll accept suggestions for new patterns for a week ending January 27, 2012 at midnight.

IDO’s webstaff will compile the list of patterns submitted after the suggestion period closes and create a poll that will allow all members to select their top four choices.

Voting with last a couple days once the poll starts.

The four patterns receiving the most votes WIN!

    Any questions?

Also, a little birdie told us to expect new plastics from Bob / B FISH N Tackle some time this spring. This is good news for the fishermen. Not such great news for the fish.

If James IS asking for it, that’s good enough for me.

I would like to see a tiger color pattern something like a orange body with white stripes with a chartreuse or all white tail. Either a clear or solid orange I vision a brighter orange……a little glitter never hurts either.

There’s an off colored purple twister tail that we used to be able to buy at Clements Bait & Tackle years ago. It was one of the first really, really great colors and it was discontinued years ago. I still have a few of these stashed away at home. They are flat out, the best colored twister tail I have ever used for catching walleyes and saugers on the Wisconsin River system and on Pools 8 & 9 of the Mississippi River.

I don’t think the majority of people on here will vote for it because it looks very plain & ordinary. But that thing was a walleye catching machine.

I’ll post a picture of it this weekend.

Meanwhile, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and pray that somehow, someway, this color will someday be available in Moxi’s, ringworms, paddletails and any other new plastics that B’Fish’N Tackle produces.

Bob;I’d like to see plastics in blue with chartruse tail. The same color blue that is used in the Dragon jigs. It might look kinda ugly but thats the color my pet waldo prefers

parrot cranks catch so many fish in the miss. something like this would be awesome. maybe clear with glitter, or opaque. i think both would put fish in the boat.
