Cisco marine mount question

I just bought a Cisco sure lock marine mount. They don’t really specify what type of screw to use to mount the plate on dash. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also wanted to see where guys have them rigged on a ranger. For some reason mine doesn’t seem stable on the dash.

    Thanks for any feedback.

I think normally screw type is up to you. If fiberglass has a wood block molded inside, a heavy duty wood or plastic type screw will work.

Although it’s always best if you can use a machine screw with a lock but on the back side. That way it’ll never work loose. Depending on the thickness of the fiberglass you may want a backer plate to strengthen it.

I can’t help you with the ranger question though. Never set foot in one.

The ranger has nice thick glass on the dash. The best way in my opinion is to use a stainless machine screw with a washer and nylon nuts so they never come loose.

Where specifically are you talking about. The plate does not fit on that first little lip where it seems sturdiest, so I had to mount it back a little further. Just doesn’t seem at sturdy. I used little wood screws that they didn’t go all the way through the dash.

What ranger to you have? Post a picture of the dash. I mounted a ram mount just behind the windshield.

2014 ranger 620. I have it right in the middle where it flattens out. Can you post where you have yours mounted.

    Thanks.

This was on my 621 but it is older than yours so I’m sure they changed it dramatically to allow of the big screen in the dash.

I was looking for more of a side action close up or to see where it was mounted.

I don’t have a ranger anymore so I can’t help you with that.

Does anyone have a picture of where they installed a cisco mount on a ranger. I dont want to keep drilling holes in my dash. I was looking for a picture that Dave Koonce posted in the past showing how his cisco was mounted on his 619.
