Hey guys, I know it’s not exactly trout-related, but I figured this was my best chance of getting the attention of folks who might know. Sometimes I chase chubs or suckers both for something completely different to do, as well as to use for bait for other fish. Have any of you guys ever ran into many of them on the Vermillion? Just getting a bit of cabin fever and thinking about my options for the 2020 open water season. Thanks guys!

Didn’t you just order a boat? I’d say forget the rough fish and go out in that! I’ll buy the suckers… rotflol

Well I gotta catch something to put in that fancy new bow baitwell!

I actually started doing it last year, first just for bait for chasing walleyes or smallies, but it’s actually pretty laid-back and enjoyable. We should get back together at some point this season so I can take you up on that bait offer!
