I’ve been leaning towards prime rib, but I’m still debating. Probably headed to Costco or Lund’s/Byerlys for my selection.

Hoping to hear what others are planning for their main course…..

    Merry Christmas from,

Brisket went on at 5 this morning and should be ready to eat around 6 tonight after resting (just the 4 of us so not a huge brisket). Also doing smoked cheesy potatoes as a side

If I had my choice it would be roasted duck breast. Sadly it will be just my wife and I (she does not like duck) so the menu is up to her. I’m sure she has told me what we will be having but apparently I was not listening closely enough to remember what she said. blush

Not sure, sounds like our get together may be canceled due to a positive test and another in the hospital….may have to venture out and get something….a prime rib does sound good.

Kids are coming for brunch before dinner at the in-laws. Omelets, smoked ham, roasted vegetables (carrots, green beans and potatoes) and fruit salad. My wife is making coffee cake with blueberries the kids brought back from Michigan last summer. Something interesting may make its way into my coffee.

I am cooking prime rib but Dave’s duck sounds good to me.
Wild duck is ok but roast tame duck is fabulous.
Maybe I will get a couple and put them in the smoker. yum yum

We ended up ordering a prime rib to cook tomorrow, I’ll actually have to leave the house to go pick it up.

Usually have oven roasted slow cooked prime rib and cheesy hash browns at my Uncles house. Can’t do it this year, however. Makes me kinda sad. That stuff is so tender you can cut it with a fork.

Mule deer osso bucco with a citrus gremulade, jumbo scallops, garden salads, roasted zucchini and carrots, spuds and gravy, and my wife is making sticky toffee pudding.

    Dang Cody, that sounds good.

We are having brisket, taters and gravy, broccoli, a garden salad and fresh baked buns. Oh and a pumpkin pie for dessert.

The best part is you don’t need to add any herbs/spices to the meat because there’s already plenty of sage flavor! whistling coffee

    Jk, sounds delicious bow

I went with the Prime Rib for tomorrow. Stopped in at Pittsburg Blue for a pint of the Au Jus!

Always ham. Been a few years since I picked one up, so a double smoked ham at hackenmuellers is waiting in the fridge. Ham gravy is almost more important than the actual ham. peace

Everyone’s food sounds fantastic in here. applause

We are smoking a pork loin this year. Going to try wrapping it in bacon.

x-mass eve – Egg rolls and fried rice.
x-mass day – usually Corona and whatever I can dig up. I got some crappie fillets in the freezer so they may see the grease.

My wife surpised me with a couple of new york strips, I’ll be cooking those up and washing them down with some Point Pistachio Brews. Kids will get some chicken nuggets!

Saving the fancy meal (Steaks and King Crab) for New Year’s Eve. For Christmas Day supper with just my Wife and two boys, we did 6 lbs. of air fryer chicken wings tossed in the sauce of your liking and homemade mac & cheese.
