    These might not be my favorite but tonight they are. Fresh Russians teaballs are awesome!!!! It has just begun at my house.

    Those look awesome Suzuki. My mom used to make those every year. Half with cherries and half without.

    Classic sugars are my go to. Has to be chewy, and scrape all the frosting off.

    My wife, her freshman college roommate and three others are baking this weekend. They’ve been getting together for the event for 35 years. The usual inventory is:

    Frosted & decorated sugar cookies (I’ll make dough Friday night)
    

    Bourbon balls (I also make these and contribute the bourbon)

    Ginger bread men
    

    Raspberry jam/shortbread cookies

    Russian teacakes
    

    Peppakor (Swedish ginger cookies)

    They also try something new every year. Not sure what it will be this year. A great tradition and it’s fun to have the variety of cookies to share out.

    She made 80 of those last night after the teaballs. I have to help frost them tonight. (
    I love them plain too so as you can imagine there are no longer 80 cookies waiting to be frosted…. whistling
