What are some of your favorite choke tubes to use for Ducks and Pheasants?

    Modified.

Chokes give you inches. Most people miss by feet.

All waterfowl I use the Carlson extra full steel. I either hit them hard or miss clean. There is no in between. Lot less cripples. I get a little more range out of this choke tube also, but the main reason is the hit or miss.

I like that – and it’s the truth.

Lead or steel shot or copper coated? I have an over/under and generally like 3″ 3 steel for most pheasant situations so I use a IM in the first barrel and a M in the other.

I use patternmaster in my Benelli. I like the code black duck for duck hunting and use the extended range patternmaster on snows. If I were to use just the plain tubes, I stick to modified for all steel shot and for the specialty shot like blackcloud. You still have to be a good shot for everything to work right though.

Hands down Drake Killer custom chokes. Hand made in Fargo. He’s a great guy and makes a phenomenal choke.
