Craving some chocolate cake but don’t want the guilt of eating the whole thing? Try a Chocolate Mug Cake!

I finally got around to making one tonight for dessert and it’s super easy! You just whip up a few ingredients in a bowl and microwave it in a mug for a minute… and voilá you have instant chocolate cake! It’s quite delicious (especially when you add chocolate chips) and the only thing I would do next time is use a larger mug. I had no room for a dollop of ice cream. 😊

      Ingredients

    1/4 cup flour
    2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
    3 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    Tiny pinch of salt
1/4 cup milk (any percent or almond milk)
2 tablespoons oil (canola, vegetable, or melted coconut oil will work)
    1/4 tsp vanilla
    1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips

      Instructions

Mix it all in a bowl and whip it. Whip it good! LOL (I’m jolly full of chocolate!)
Microwave for 60-90 seconds. Microwave times will vary.
Let cool for several minutes and top with your choice of toppings!

For the real lazy, they sell mug cake packs at the grocery store. I always have a few on hand in the RV. Of course I can’t help myself so I have to add a handful of chocolate chips or walnuts.

Ok, I just copied it to use later for a special desert in about 10 days. I hope it is as good as you claim! #44 on the 24th for “She Who Must Be Obeyed” and me.

Fun! Happy early birthday to the Mrs.! I don’t have a picky side when it comes to food – particularly sweets. So hopefully she enjoys it. My cousin just sent me a bunch a different recipes to try besides chocolate. The Bailey’s Irish Cream Mug Cake sounds delicious!

Personally, mug cake tastes great but doesn’t make much of a celebration statement. Think something cream filled from the grocery store bakery.

I would think this would be good with different kinds of liquor. Maybe some RumChata or Khalua!
