A friend and I spent about 5 hours mainly on South Center today and wound up with 18 bass and a walleye between us. Two fish at about 17″ were the biggest…the interesting thing was that all of the fish were very shallow, I’m not saying you can’t catch them deep but we started out trying cranks over the deeper weed points etc without any luck…after spotting some cabbage we moved in to 2-4 feet of water and caught fish…the best areas were the area where there was a patch of cabbage in 4 or 5 feet of water off of a rocky shore…texas rigged finnese worms were the best producer…it was our first time on those lakes this year so all in all not a bad day on that water…good luck!!
