chisago area crappies

I fished a chisago area lake on monday with good results. The crappies were hitting a jig/minnow under a float in 5-10 feet of water. My wife and caught a bunch of 8-9 inchers. A few bigger, but most were in that range. I did also get a 16 inch bass too which put up quite a fight. The bait shop in Chisago City said sunfish and crappies were biting everywhere. We moved twice to find the fish and once we did it was pretty fast action. I kept a few to eat and found they have not spawned yet.
