Fished South Lindstrom and Chisago this morning for a multispecies outing. Tried for walleyes but could not entice them to bite. I did mark what looked walleyes on the bottom in 22 feet, but only caught sunfish. The bass were chomping pretty good though. Caught 10 bass with half over 15 inches. The biggest fish did not make it in the boat as I was horsing her a bit, probably about 18 inches. The water is still suprisingly clear up there. Most of the weeds are pretty thick in 3-5 feet of water making it tough to fish around most docks. Although, that was where the biggest fish was hiding, under a Ranger boat on a lift. Tried the scumfrog with only a couple of blow-ups to show. Most of the fish were caught on a spinnerbait including some sunfish. There is some construction going on in chisago city on hwy 8 so if your heading east during the day be prepared for a slow down.
