    Good morning,

    My family is going to be over in the Chisago lakes area later this week and I would like to take my kids ice fishing when we have time. Could anyone tell me if they’re driving ATV’s on any of the area lakes yet or should we plan on walking on. If there is another site I should check for ice reports other than here please let me know as well. Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to IDO I fished Chisago a couple weeks ago and they were close to driving them then, so I would assume you should be ok with a wheeler by now. Call Frankies bait and ask them.

    I was on Chisago and Green last weekend – there were tons of ATV’s and sleds. Even a few small trucks but that seems aggressive.

    Ice was a solid 10″ or so all over so you should be safe but as always, be careful.

    I was on chisago this past weekend as well. Seen 15 cars on there. I pulled my trailer out behind my atv all over the lake. 10 to 12 inches is what I found
