panfish on cornell flowage?

Does anyone out there know if there’s a decent bluegill/crappie fishery in the cornell flowage? I started fishing it last year a little and got some small SM Bass and catfish and a couple of crappie. But the fish weren’t impressive in size or numbers. I like fishing there since there’s little boat/PWC traffic and doesn’t seem fished too heavily.
I’m thinking as soon as the ice is off, I’ll try the shallow channels between all those islands at the north end of the state park.
