The island across from the city shops in EauClaire is a damn good spot. The island creates a slack water from the strong current. Its like a triangle, calm water spot. Crawlers on bottom produced many smallies, with 18” being largest, and 12” smallest. A tree has fallen in water, to create a excellent Perch habitat. Down river, I had a Perch on bobber, and a Northern bites the Perch. I fisht him for a while, before he lets go. An excellent day.
