We are taking a camping trip to Burnet Island next week, and I have never been on the water there. I was wondering if anyone is firmiliar with this area.
Any advise would be great! thanks for your help.

Beautiful boat ride up to the dam, at the dam cast around for smally’s and musky. If they open the dam while you are there fish get real active all the way down to the first island. Play around the backwaters around the campground, you never know what you might catch. I do well in the fall and spring for crappie and gils in the pond in the middle of the campground so if you want a shore spot in the morning or evening it is worth a try. The west side of that pond gets about 10′ deep 1 cast length out and there are plenty of snags in there. Have fun and good luck, that is an awesome area
