Anybody had any luck recently here? The walleyes have been biting, but have recently slowed. End of March, its excellent for Carp and large Sturgeon. During the summer, the sun hits it for most of the day and promotes weed growth, so its not that good then.
Overall, I’d say its one of my favorite river areas.
Hey Joe, I’ve done pretty good at this locale on occasion, I here the walleye fishing can be pretty good after dark in the fall. I’ve caught a 26.5″ walleye here a 4# smally and a 44″ musky. All CPR….it is a good little crappie hole in the fall also if you get a boat past the first current break, I’ll soak a sucker off one side and hammer crappies off the other, what fun!
Was down there last night, got a Sturgeon in the 20-25 lb range, around 50”. Bout 10 little sturgeon too. Was a good night.
Went down tonight and my buddy got the biggest, but mine from last night was bigger
