Chinese lithium batteries

Just picked up 4 of these 6ah batteries off of amazon this week for $30/ea. Replacing the heavy motorcycle battery I carry on my sled for the lights/fans/phone charging. Wired up great and was $20/ea cheaper than the amped or Dakota. Just thought I would share.

There were great prices on bigger ones too, but they didnt have reviews, so I just walked the traveled path.

I havent gotten into lithium batteries much to date, so wiring these tiny light batteries felt fake the whole time, but I read great voltage and had less voltage droop when load was put on them as compared the the heavy agm that they replaced. What a game changer!

Ha! The switches came pre-labeled. I lined up that one with the red lights that I hang in the overhead of my hub. LED light bar is my hole lights. Overhead lights are the white overhead and in-tub lights. Driving lights are red tub lights and glow cups. The other two are aux switches for accessory plugs I have available on my sled.

Nice job! Careful with the “cheap Chinese” batteries. There are a lot of comparison videos online.

Here is one for the Dewalt batteries. You can watch the whole thing or you can skip to 15:40 and catch the conclusion. I know yours are not Dewalt but you get what you pay for in batteries.

Just be sure to use a charger made for lithium batteries. A lithium battery fire is no joke. I hope someday they come out with a boat onboard charger that handles lithium and I can shave a few hundred pounds off the boat!! Nice clean install!! Well done!
