Momma picked these up last week. 18 lbs for 28 bucks. There half gone and no canning. We also order a box of pears and peaches. Got 39 lbs of blueberries coming.

I grew up in an area of Michigan where there were fruit trees and mini orchards everywhere. We ate them daily all summer and knew where every tree and vine was. The only fruit we waited to get ripe was cherries. Everything else we started eating as soon as they appeared. Apples, pears, grapes, rhubarb. To this day, due to hard training as a kid, I can shovel cherries into my mouth and have the pits coming out almost as fast. Just a damn conveyor belt. We used to do that hanging from the branches!! Man, the memories.

Bought a couple cherry / raspberry Grandma Bettie Jean’s pies in Baxter last weekend. Getting pricey but very good pies. Cherry / Rasberry was a great combination ….
