Hey guys, I just wanted to show off the new TUCR that I got in the mail today. I often fish a big weedy bay that is 7 feet deep at the deepest point. Most holes I drill are so shallow and weedy that a flasher is useless, even on low power mode. What a lot of guys do is use a really long rod and just walk from hole to hole without a flasher. This style of fishing is why I asked John at tuned up to build me a 40″ bullwhip. Let me know what you guys think!

Here’s another pic with my 32″ bullwhip and PN, for comparison.

I remember that rod at the shop! We were all super impressed and curious. Thanks for the info on how you plan to use it.

Thanks! I have a feeling a lot of guys will be impressed with it, There aren’t a lot of other options for longer ice rods for standing and fishing.

    nice!

Nothing better than a custom made to fit a specific fishing style.

Very cool! I’m still debating between the BW and PN and seeing you have both isn’t helping me make a decision. mrgreen

It was too hard of a decision for me to make which is why I got both.

I agree. Most rods are short so that it is easier to sit inside a flip or other shelter. I spend the vast majority of my time hole hopping and the long rods save a lot of wear/tear on my back. My back just gets sore seeing guys hunched over.
