I’m looking to get a one man flip shack that wont break the bank. Not looking for a ton of room. Weight is about all I care about since ill be pulling it around more than I’m in it. Frabil Recon or Eskimo quick flip looked about right. Anybody have any personal pros/cons or advice?

Scheels Mankato, has Jason Mitchell Pro scout thermal for 279.99. Has the best features for the price; thermal, grey inter, grey tub, travel cover.

I paid 299 for a kenai pro thermal this winter. 45lbs is the reason I bought this one.

Just got that Recon myself on Sunday from Farm and Fleet. Have not been able to get it out on the ice yet. Been playing with it inside to see how I want to trick it or if any at all.

So far I really like it, light and plenty of room. Only small complaint I might have is when in the half up position the tent hits my head when I sit up, not to big of issue though. We’ll see how she fishes and how not having a door is.

I’m a Shappell guy, easy to pull by hand @ 37 lbs. Zip front door, deep sled, 600 D fabric, sliding bench seat, my FX 100.

Got my recon yesterday and put it together today and I’m hoping to use it tomorrow. So far I really like it and I’m sure it will fish great.
