I’m up Nort where da news travels slow. I saw where Chauvin made bail and Walzie called in the guard. Are there issues in Mpls right now or do they expect the rabble rouser crowd from Chicago & New York to show up?

Safe to assume there hasn’t been any trouble? I didn’t post to rehash what we already know or think, I was wondering if there were new problems.

I don’t know Dutch. Maybe browsing the local news sites might provide the info you’re looking for.

Trolling must be slow on the lake up north there, so you must have needed to come here to get some good bites.

    joneser,

Was Floyd a threat? 4 cops showing up to arrest a guy for a bad $20 check? You think you would be treated any different than him if you were in that situation? Think about that…and you bet he is racist because he knew who Floyd was and still didn’t give a damn about this life.

First of all – Unless you are a police office don’t even start to talk about how much of a treat a person is to 1,2,4, or even 10 police officers when he’s high as a kite on drugs.

Secondly I don’t need to think how I’d be treated if I were in that situation. I’m not a multi time felon, I don’t plan to try to pass any bad 20.00 check, and I don’t have any plans to have a cocktail of drugs large enough to kill most any human being in my system.

If you on the other hand want to test your theory on the result – I say by all means GO FOR IT !!!

If a friend of yours was high as a kite come knocking on your door would you feel threaten??

Theory already tested many times. The white boy who murdered innocent lives in a church down south = armed/mentally unstable? Yet he was escorted out of his hiding and served a restaurant meal on his way to jail. Of course you don’t need to think about being in Floyd’s situation because will never be, you’re white. That’s the whole point. Chauvin would have definitely treated Floyd differently if he was white.

Come on, when was the last time you heard/seen a white man dead at the hands of white cops?

Guys and gals…. If we have learned anything it is this.

When something goes down lately it is to distract us the people. This is just another smoke screen. The bail of Chauvin is not the real subject matter of why the guard were called if you ask me. It took 2-3 days of burning building before Walzie decided to get the guard involved last time. There is something else going on. I would put money on it and maybe even speculate what it is. Put your seatbelts on and get ready for another ride. Look past Chauvin and who else is involved. That’s my first reaction these days. Do not listen to the news or any media. They have other intention than to inform us with the truth.

Guard was called Wednesday and can take up to 48 hours to mobilize and get them in place. My nephew is in the guard and what we have experienced with his phone call and arrival to the scene with past issues.

I just wanted to add my two cents.. Stay away from Mpls for the next couple nights would be my advise.

Minneapolis had a peaceful march for 38th & Chicago to the Hennepin County Government Center, a few hundred people. Frey asked Walz to mobilize the Guard, State Patrol and DNR also responded. No real news here other than the city was preparing in the event something were to occur. Move on…

No but not sure how this has anything to do with the current situation.

Ok hard to take you serious now. I thought you had some valid points until now.

    joneser,

    Two things are incorrect.

    1) it wasn’t a $20 check. It was a counterfeit $20 he used to buy smokes. A check would’ve been no big deal. Hell, had jumped the counter and stolen a couple cartons that’d get him a slap on the wrist if they did anything.

But he chose to commit not just a felony but a federal crime by making and using a counterfit bill.

There’s numerous ways he could’ve broken the law and walked out of there with the smokes and he picked the one that was by far the worst/dumbest. The feds protect their currency like you wouldn’t believe. They don’t mess around with counterfeiting. He probably would’ve been better off committing armed robbery for the smokes, and that isn’t an embellishment.

Again, he committed not just a felony buy a federal crime. No state or county peewee crap for doing that. Federal Court. Federal Penitentiary. No messing around.

    2) Chauvin did not recognize Floyd because he did not know Floyd. They both worked at a night club but the owner said they would’ve never crossed paths. An employee at the night club went to the press about a week after the incident saying that Chauvin for sure knew him had worked with him but a day or two later retracted his statement because he had Floyd confused with a different black guy who worked there. Going off of what the owner said and records they never worked together.

You dont hear about it because when a “white” drug addicted career felon high on everything gets killed committing a crime or running from or fighting with police 50,000 white people dont show up screaming racism and how great of guy he was.

It happens all the time. The media doesn’t report it because no one gives a s**t when a cop kills someone who’s white.

For every black person killed by the police this year?

    Two white people got killed.

Proportionate to population the rate for blacks is higher but if you’re talking sheer volume it’s not even close, waaaaaaay more whites get killed by cops. Two to one in down year like this year.

Last time I heard of a white man, how about white woman instead? It’s the most relevant example since it’s same city, same department, current era, etc.

Justine Daymond was a white woman who had never committed a crime, wasn’t high off her ass on a lethal cocktail that included a “super speedball” of fentanyl & meth versus heroin & cocaine like Floyd was. She was at her home when she heard what she thought was someone being raped in her alley. The cops arrived there and the black cop in the car got out of the car and walked up the alley and with her standing behind her house waiting for them to arrive the black cop shot and killed her. Then they made up a story that she approached the squad car and slapped it hard which was proven false in court since the BCA had the squad for three days after the incident and couldn’t lift her prints or find anything that could be left from her striking the vehicle. Nope, he just shot her. Must have been real trigger happy to murder a little white chick.

No outrage, no protests, no burning down half the city.

Everyone was calm and rational and let the slow wheels of justice spin until the cop was convicted.

It’s a shame that isn’t what happened with Floyd since in this case the police are clearly innocent. Thus, what seems like half the businesses in the state’s largest and most important city burned for nothing more than a hasty and incorrect knee-jerk reaction.

Go back and read my previous lengthy post that breaks down what happened.

I waste my time writing that crap in hopes that one person like yourself will wake up and be one less person ill-informed upset person.

We’re going to need as many of those types of people because when the cops get off, because they’re innocent, it’s going to make the initial riots seem like nothing more than a handful of people pregaming it.

As to the actual post inquiry, this is about what I saw. Guard was called in immediately after the news broke and a few hundred people parading were a short blip on the evening news.

What sucks is that the opportunists are poised and ready for if/when a peaceful protest becomes large enough for them to strike. My wife’s pharmacy was looted a second time in August when that guy shot himself and someone reported it as a shooting – a quick, clean in and out deal targeting the narcs. It has become “normal” for management to disperse info about planned protests and for satellite pharmacies to remove cash and narcs on certain nights. It has been a ton of extra work and stress for her, and she’s also feeling that uneasy feeling after someone robs your space.

Mostly peaceful with “only” 51 arrests, 49 misdemeanors for unlawful assembly (I believe), one 4th degree assault and one felony warrant.

News reporter: Mr.Governor(we wish we had), why was the DNR called in to aid with the potential rioters?

Mr.Governor: Well, we knew after the National Guard showed up some type of animal control would be needed in dealing with a bunch of chickens.

This isn’t the first time the DNR assisted down there. They where there when all hell broke loose the first time.
