Nice place on the historic register. Great location on the lake. Our room had more cosmetic issues than I expected which detracted from the experience. Really good local brewery nearby and one block to Reeds.
Pretty solid accommodations. Probably some of the best you will find on the lake. Good food and bar. If strictly looking at fishing, there are more central places to launch, like Pine Pt, etc just depends on what you want to target and what time of year.
But as to the accommodations itself you won’t go wrong.
I like Chase, but wouldn’t be my first choice on Leech. It’s basically a high rise hotel right in Walker, which is nice for the wife and family if you want to walk to dinner or shopping. Not sure if they do slip rental or how that works for boat usage there. I’d look at Trappers or any of the other more traditional resorts if fishing is your priority, and the kids activities are cabin-stuff as opposed to town stuff.
FYI if you want to dock your boat overnight you have to pay through your boat club. I don’t remember the exact amount but I think it was like $40/day and didn’t include electricity to charge batteries…..so because of that I didn’t stay there
Good to know on boat docking. Lake will probably be a little cold For water fun so inside pool will be needed. Been looking at this for awhile and am interested in long term opportunities,
So a visit is needed.
