Anyone have any experience using a wall USB charger for charging i pilot link remote ? Was wondering about using a iPhone/ipad charger or galaxy usb charger . Thanks !

In general you should be OK. Most USB wall plugs follow a similar standard so there isn’t a high risk for over voltage as long as you aren’t using like a quick charger or something like that.

I’ve always charged mine with AC a couple times each winter with no problems.

I charge mine using a wall plug whenever I get home from using it and every night in the cabin on trips to Canada. Never had an issue.

Me too. Have a spare battery charged up as well in case I am somewhere remote ( canada) otherwise it lasts all day and then goes on the home wall outlet til I leave in the morning. I switch out the batteries occassionally so one does not always just sit and not get drawn on. Never had a problem,

USB standard wall adapters have a 5V output and will charge the remote just fine. I use one in my house and a different one in my truck. They output <1.5A.

Instructions do not discuss the remote at all. WTF? I bought the Ultrex and waiting on dealer to install. Does the remote come with a UBS cable?

My Ulterra came with a USB charger and a 12v cigarette adapter. This was roughly 4 years ago.

My Ultrex just got installed. Remote includes USB cable. I plugged it in and remote charged right up.

That is all I use, is the USB phone charger for the wall. I keep a cable in my boat with the Cigarette lighter USB charger if it runs out during the day. Going on year 4 or 5 doing this.

I either charge it on a cigarette lighter USB charger on the way home or off my laptop at home.
