I’ve been testing these chum throwers out over the summer. I have three available that I can give away as samples. after that they’re gone. Shoot me a message.

That is kind of cool unfortunately it is not legal in Minnesota.

Page 27, Minnesota Fishing Regulations 2015 states “You cannot deposit fish parts or other material into public waters (chumming) to attract fish.”

I’ve kind of been there and done it to until I found out it was not legal.

I did the same thing about 10 years ago. I used Cattle Feed Range Cubes back when I tried it out. Saw a post on a Texas Catfish Forum where they used these cattle range cubes for chumming and I bought a 40# bag of them at a Feed Store in South St Paul. They were about the size of your thumb or a little bigger. I would toss them out in my favorite spots as I moved upriver and I would pre-bait my spots letting the chum sit for a few hours before fishing. I never noticed an increase in success rates – it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I also tried frozen chum – its a long story I won’t punish you with. Needless to say my wife told me she would never use that blender again. It’s been sitting under my work bench for quite a few years now – maybe I’ll sell it at the next garage sale.

My dog saw the chuck-it on the monitor and is now going nuts. I’d appreciate it if you would stop by here and play fetch with him for a hour or so….. whistling jester

Really you ground frozen fish with your wife’s blender? Brave man.

Randy, if you pay for the gas! This is produced by a different company than Chuckit!

The device is an atlatl: a spear throwing device that allows you to throw things at greater distances. It’s been around since prehistoric times.
