Changes to Skeeter website… Major capacity changes on WX line?

Here is a copy of the same topic I posted on WalleyeCentral:

I noticed the Skeeter website has been down often over the past few days, and I just noticed that they have a new website design up. I’ve been considering buying a Skeeter WX2060, and noticed a few MAJOR changes to it’s ratings. I’m assuming these are changes from the 2014 to 2015 model year boats?

Previous website had the WX2060 rated for 250HP, 6 passengers / 880 lbs, 51 gallon fuel capacity, and a maximum weight capacity of 1700lbs (people and gear). New website has the WX2060 rated for a 300HP, 5 passengers / 700 lbs, 48 gallon fuel capacity, and a maximum weight capacity of 1530 lbs (people and gear).

Haven’t had a chance to see what other changes they made…. what have you found?

I was shocked to see such dramatic rating changes on a hull that just came out. Any speculation on why the changes? For me it may change my fishing / family plus a few friends friendly boat to a fishing and family only boat… something that may cross it off the list for my spouse.

Also the height of the WX2060 on trailer went down from 84″ to 78″ and the site has the max power rating of the new WX1910 at 300HP…. this seems fishy to me.

Yes the new Skeeter Website is up and running, however a few errors were found like stated above. We have emailed Skeeter to make them aware of the errors. These should be corrected shortly.

I believe it is safe to say that the proofreaders missed a few things before launching the new site.

Pretty embarrassing, and would it kill Skeeter to update the pictures too? There’s dash layout pictures of the 2012 model year MX1825… These are $30k/$40k/$50k boats they are selling, at least they could show pictures of the current model year…

Joe, I agree with you! Maybe they should get rid of the pics of the WX1880 they put in the WX1850 gallery. Nothing worse than re-work!
