Somebody’s got to say it so it might as well be me. Do you like to do the wild thing?

For sale is the famous Poulan Wild Thing chainsaw. 40cc motor, 18 inch bar. It starts, runs, cuts and idles perfectly. The chain is sharp and the OEM carrying case is included.

The backstory is a regular customer of mine found this at a garage sale and decided to buy it and take on the dead trees in his backyard. Then he showed his prize chainsaw to his wife and she said, “Oh hell no.”. And knowing this guy she was very right in saying that. So he dropped it off at my place hoping I could just use it for parts. It was actually in perfectly good condition and with a minor tune-up and a new drive sprocket it runs really well.

$25 to any IDO member. That’s just to cover my costs with the new drive sprocket I installed.

A perfectly good working chainsaw for 25 bucks.

That’s a hell of a deal Grouse. Can’t believe someone hasn’t jumped on it.

I currently have 3 chainsaws. I really don’t need a 4th, even though that is a deal I shouldn’t pass up. Plus the opportunity to meet TheFamousGrouse.
I’ll hold off and hope another member takes advantage of this before I change my mind. I must resist the temptation. This is one time where having a wife to tell me “No” would actually be a good thing.
