He was born in Iowa not that has any bearing on anything. My point was if he wasn’t a resident of Minnesota, filthy rich and a CEO of a fortune top 100 this would have generated a paragraph of coverage.

What does being a Minnesota resident have to do with anything? The whole country is following this story.

IDK about that. It’s been a lead story on all the national news agencies since it happened. We may not have brought it up here perhaps.

stop calling it an assassination. It was a murder. If it was an assassination, you need to call every murder an assassination.

    Calm down dude

Take it up with the OP who started the thread and titled it CEO ASSN.

And every news network that is calling it the same. Because that is what it was.

Very interesting story to follow. It’s like it’s straight out of Hollywood.

    The cryptic messages are interesting.

Deny, Defend and Depose written on the shell casings…

Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don’t Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It is a 2010 book by Rutgers Law professor Jay M. Feinman

The gun used to kill him was a specialized gun known as a “veterinarian” firearm…to put down sick and lame animals…that’s some creepy symbolism

Then lastly, the backpack with Monopoly money that was definitely meant to be found and seen. The fake money is surely referring to something.

I’m sure there’s plenty more to the story that we don’t know yet. They said they found DNA, so it won’t be long until they know the identity of the assassin. If ANYONE even remotely close to him in his family has ever done a 23 and me, Ancestry.com, etc he’ll be easily identified.

That comment is so true. I sat on a grand jury case where this exact thing happened. It was a cold case homicide and they had dna evidence from the murder, and every year they would run the DNA to try and find a match. One year they got a match because the brother of the murderer did a 23 & me. So somehow all this DNA profiles gets shared with the government. According to the DNA expert that testified at the grand jury trial they can tell the family because both brothers had similar DNA. According to the DNA expert they could even tell that one of the grandparents was Native American, which happened to be true in their family history.

The insider trading and being tied to Nancy Pelosi that evil old bag adds a interesting twist as well.

Yeah this is a wild one. Law enforcement isn’t showing all their cards which I understand. They may or may not know the shooters name. It sounds like if there are prior crimes/ bookings then he’d be much easier to find due to mug shot, fingerprints etc. Sounds like with the fbi jumping in they’ll contact all state dmv’s and ask permission to scan pictures from drivers license databases. Maybe the odds are against this guy. Maybe he’ll pull a dB cooper.

Because it was a public figure and a surprise attack.

To me, if they had his name they would release it. It would only help their search to get the public involved.

    They don’t have it.

IMO, I don’t think law enforcement should give out much if any information to the media… in any investigation.

    Hope she gets her 60K.

    What’s that in reference to?

Luigi Mangione, sounds like something out of a mob movie.

I think he was plenty smart. Probably didn’t want to hide anymore and knew his days were numbered.

Said screw it, one last meal at Mickey D’s!

I chuckle at the reward money offered.
So United Heathcare, an over 1/2 a trillion dollar company didn’t offer one $.01 as reward money.

Interesting the whole is it an assassination or murder. To me, if you are hired or were inclined to kill a specific person.. that would be an assassination… but if you killed someone in say an armed robbery that went bad, that would be a murder… technically they are both murders…. or if you shot someone and you didn’t know who it was prior, that could not be an assassination. This case seems to me like an assassination… specific target and plotted.
