Anyone else following this thing? For some reason I find it fascinating. Seems extremely well thought out and planned. Now they are saying it may have been a veterinarian type gun. Pretty crazy how he’s all over the city but never shows his face.

Pretty hard to hide from Big Brother these days.
They will announce an arrest soon, even if it proves to be the wrong guy.
You read they are estimating $27 Billion in profit for United Health Care Group this year.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23643December 6, 2024 at 8:41 pm #2303493There is a clear image of his face. The gun he used had a silencer on it and jammed after each shot. Clearly not someone well trained but inspired to do a job for some reason. He will end up dead likely killed by himself or whoever told him to do it.
December 6, 2024 at 9:12 pm #2303495it is a crazy deal. I do wonder since he was able to pull this off if there will be copycats.
December 6, 2024 at 9:28 pm #2303497That recent picture is a slam dunk for identification. If THAT picture is available to the media, they know who it is. It won’t be long.
December 6, 2024 at 9:30 pm #2303499I am surprised he dumped the backpack. But maybe that helped him blend in better on the bus.
LabDaddy1Posts: 2566December 6, 2024 at 10:12 pm #2303506Modern day robinhood type deal? I don’t necessarily wish death upon anyone but some seem more deserving of it than others.
Our healthcare system is f’ed. I don’t know that assassinating a CEO will change much or even provide incentive for change, but it sure seems like a symptom of condition.
Edit: Robinhood isn’t the best analogy but hopefully you kinda know what I mean.

I hear what your saying. When folks die and get denied medical help due to insufficient funds and a multi billion dollar profitable company shrugs their shoulders as your mom is being denied help might just push some one over the edge. The medical industry in the US is a ugly business and when your the face of it the negatives come your way. This murder was just not as legal as the ones they dish out weekly. Denzel showed us such things in the movie John Q. People will break when you give them a death sentence. And if thats not the case then maybe it was a hit man
wkwPosts: 747December 7, 2024 at 6:45 am #2303524Pro hitmen don’t leave clues and do it where there are 1000’s of cameras.

Agreed. No one said pro, most likely the other. But I have no idea just rambling thoughts.
December 7, 2024 at 7:35 am #2303529If you think our health care system is ugly here, go visit India.
When you can’t pay for it there, they throw you in the Ganges River. And most people there cannot afford it.
That being said, I hope he’s caught soon and punished accordingly.

We don’t live in India, and India is a dirty dangerous place for many. I also hope he’s caught and executed the same way he did the ceo. That’s how it should work here
December 7, 2024 at 8:39 am #2303537There is a new twist. Him and his wife live in separate houses.
December 7, 2024 at 8:53 am #2303541They own 2 homes, one in each of their names. I never read they lived apart.
December 7, 2024 at 8:54 am #2303542Crazy story. Really sad for his family and for society with so many Marxists celebrating it.
Can’t believe they haven’t found him yet, I thought all of NYC was under surveillance, so you’d think they could track him on a bike within minutes. Even in Central Park. Also, with facial recognition they have to know his entire story at this point, and I’m surprised that’s not been released.
December 7, 2024 at 9:23 am #2303551According to the news yesterday they think he may be back in Atlanta?
December 7, 2024 at 9:25 am #2303552Not say the guy didn’t make any mistakes and agree he wasn’t a professional hit man. But to me it seems extremely well thought out including the entire exit plan. The e bike, various methods of transportation, even the chosen bus garage all helped to conceal his trail.
Really the only major mistake was lowering his mask briefly when checking in at the Hostel. Pretty remarkable since he was there 10 days.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23643December 7, 2024 at 9:29 am #2303553I would find it really surprising if they don’t know who this is by now. Releasing his identity would negatively affect the success of capturing him. Medica shut down their headquarters yesterday in response

Hahah the red scare! The commies are coming! (Commie = anyone with the radical notion that CEOs shouldn’t make billions while letting folks die)
Sad for his family but no more sad than I am for him the families tore up by his policies. Funny how loss of life wasn’t as important as profit for him.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23643December 7, 2024 at 10:09 am #2303558Well there are many people celebrating his murder. A former NY post reporter actually said “no wonder we want them all dead”. I’m sure you and your ilk are all getting along on bluesky social dirty water.
Justifying someone’s murder because they make a lot of money or they work for a company who has done bad things is really next level crazy.December 7, 2024 at 10:38 am #2303562Well there are many people celebrating his murder. It’s not the red scare or opinion, it’s literal Marxist terminology (eat the rich, kill capitalist pigs etc) and open avowed socialists (among others slightly less idiotic) celebrating a Dad and Fathers cold blooded assassination. Funny none of these low IQ low T socialists blame Obama/Obamacare which created the guidelines under which UHC and very few other COMPANIES have flourished. Which the fact so few Health ins companies survived Obamacare is the opposite of free market capitalism. Of course this guy doing his job was not picking and choosing who to cover/not cover, he was following Obamacare law to provide a service and insure millions while employing thousands. Which somehow means his death is ok. GTFOH.
dirtywaterPosts: 1645December 7, 2024 at 11:00 am #2303569Ope, I triggered the insurance lackies! Because insurance companies weren’t ruining the world before Obama
Excellent work putting words in my mouth to make me look like a monster as well. Nowhere did I say this man’s death was justified, I merely pointed out that one death is not worse than another. And he and his company were responsible for more than a few.

Haha ruining the world?!? And I didn’t associate you with the Marxists I just described what I see of them, and then you just associated yourself with them.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23643December 7, 2024 at 11:12 am #2303574Dirtywater you said it without actually saying it. It’s pretty obvious you are quietly applauding this heinous crime.

Which year was Obamacare again?

December 7, 2024 at 11:34 am #2303582I’d also add murdering someone in the street is in fact worse than denying coverage, even wrongly, for a terminally ill patient. That also Doesn’t mean denying coverage wrongly is ok.
December 7, 2024 at 11:45 am #23035862010 and rolled out in 2014 I believe, where are your graphs from? I’d bet that is a count of plans available, like multiple from UHC, and not the # of companies.
