I spent last weekend scouting and building a few blinds for my season which starts on Wed. Saw a fair amount of Tom and Jake groups and lots of Solo Hens. With the warm weather over the weekend and this next week, I Think things are really setting up well for the upcoming season. I sat in Two area’s for a short time and managed to call in several birds and had many Gobblers respond. With the mild winter there seems to be a lot more Birds around this year than there was last year. All the birds look to be in excellent shape with some of the Toms looking really large. The only bad thing to report is that the Ticks seem to be out in full force. Need to pickup some fresh spray and hope that keep them off. Best of luck to everyone this season. Be safe out there !!!!!

The birds up by us were very quiet this weekend. I sat both mornings in spots that are usually very good, did see a couple birds, but did not hear one gobble all weekend. I have trail cams pics of hens and toms, but they were not as active at our farm.

    Good luck with your season!!

I heard a few gobbles off and on during the day while scouting and building blinds. It wasn’t till last evening while a buddy was out that he got a lot of response to his calls. I think the warmer temps over the week just started to get them fired up. I think by mid to later this week they will be really going. I hope so anyway. Best of you to you.
