Good day folks,
Has anyone devised a way to keep rods from bouncing around in the center rod locker of their Skeeter MX. I use rod socks but don’t like the idea of my reels getting knocked around unsecured. I don’t want to install tubes or wrap each reel in bubble wrap.
Thoughts?
Don’t have a Skeeter, but have pondered getting a dozen or so of these and making a board with holes in it to stick the rod butts in.
I had something similar to those in my 2002 Lund Fisherman. Mine were really stiff, and I’ve busted a couple guides with them. Wound up breaking them off and just letting the rods sit in the hole. If those are a lot more flexible they might work.
How about some bungee cord and attach it at each end and one could even attach it to make small pockets for the rod butt ot set in. I use reel covers as well on my reels so I do not really worry about that.
I use a couple of old towels and inter-weave them around the reels, works good.
