New garage has a high ceiling and the whole thing is sheet rocked-sometimes I fish in some rain stuff gets wet and I set up some fan to dry things out, wouold it be easier just to have a ceiling fan?Has anyone done this? Floor in my boat is vinyl so that part is good-maybe a different kind of fan would be better.

I put 3 in mine when I remodeled it. It helps to circulate warm air in the winter and also dry things out.

I would definitely add a ceiling fan, it’s a good thing.just a little air movement does help out quiet a bit

Ceiling fan in mine runs all winter long. Helps dry the floor after cars melt off.

I took the ugly ceiling fan out of my living room and put it into my garage. It made a big difference in heating. It is also nice to have air movement on the hot summer days.

I added 2 ceiling fans in my garage and they run 24/7/365. Air movement is never a bad thing.

I put an old fan in 4 years ago when I built my shop. Has not turned off since.

And your head when you stand up in your boat while you are rigging it before a trip. It hurts

I have 3 in my 28 x 32. I find myself running only 2 most of the time 1 in forward 1 in reverse it really draws the air around

Great idea. I bought a big turbo fan and have it mounted on a board unside down on the ceiling of my garage. Only reason is to dry the boat when I get home after fishing in the rain. Ceiling fans too. But that turbo fan forces much more air. I open compartments, bilge cover, live well and let it go. I also open windows a bit to let humidity out. Works great.

I have 2 Hunter house fans mounted in my garage, one directly over the boat. The boat one gets turned on when I think the boat needs drying out, the other fan runs 24/7.

    Sounds worthwhile thanks.
Have already put a fishing rod into a fan (helps to have it on high!) no way I could do that again.

I have 2 in my garage. As others have said, it helps push the heat down in the winter and move the air. I leave mine on all year.

I have two ceiling fans in 36×48 shed. I also added a oscillating wall fan. And yes fans and fishing rods don’t get along🤬

All of you with fishing rod fan issues sounds to me like an ugly stick commercial
