Cedar Creek Access Mille Lacs

Hey gang. I’m going to be in Minneapolis for work next week and was thinking of hitting Mille Lacs this weekend since I’ll be in the neighborhood. Wondering if Cedar Creek access has enough water to float the boat. I recall it can be pretty shallow at times.

By the way, I’ll be chasing smallies and will have an open seat. Although if anyone is doing the same this weekend and has an open seat I’ll leave the boat in Iowa!

    Thanks for any info!

I put my Skeeter WX 2060 in there last weekend. Word is the lake is up almost a foot this year.

It’s probably deep enough for your boat. BUT, If the wind is blowing, it can be a nasty spot to load.. You’re better off driving a couple more miles north and using the Liberty Beach landing. Nice & Protected.

Totally agree with IceNEyes. There’s no reason to use Cedar Creek anymore with Liberty Beach right up the road. Its a far superior access with a sheltered harbor.

The only problem with Liberty Beach is the parking lot being full, like it was 3 weeks ago when we got up there. The wind was light last Saturday and we took the one of the last parking spots at Cedar Creek last weekend.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your help! Looking forward to getting on Mille Lacs again. It’s been several years.

    Take care,
    Wade
