It is crazy how fast the weather can change in March. It was 45 yesterday with a bright blue sky and this morning it is raining and a 30 mph wind out of the Northwest. Last night went with one of my co workers out on Walker Bay, we only had to walk maybe 100 feet off shore before we found some nice Perch. Everything was in 5 feet of water or less we even caught a few walleyes mixed in with the Perch. I still have seen people driving out on the ice with Atvs and Rangers, but I think after today’s wind and Rain you might have to walk. Hopefully I can get out a couple more times this week, the Perch have been on fire around the lake right now. My co worker caught his personal best perch and took home nice keepers. I am starting to look ahead towards the open water season, but I have not put away the ice gear yet hopefully everyone else can get up here a few more times.
