Cant fish it Saturday… A seperate secret password for Friday would work. That way I would allow pug to fish in my my temple on the water. As long as he brought slime cleaner…

Hmmph. People would have to designate the night they intended on fishing when they signed up. This will be #2 I missed this year. I suppose I could sign up anyway, not fish and have the same results.

Can I have the envelope please……..

From the people who submitted photos and measurements, here are the results of last nights contest.

Thanks to all that particapated last night, we had a huge turn out. Had we not sold out of Bullheads later in the day, we may have had more people. Team Moore ended the night with nothing, but a wonderful night for a boat ride as we covered a large area looking for spots.

In the Flathead division Larry proved he could do it even with a new partner, while Roby Hoekstra showed that it helps to ply new bodies of water.

    1st place-
    Larry Haugh with a Flathead measuring 47 X 29

    2nd place-
    Roby Hoekstra with a Flathead measuring 39 X 26 1/4

Honorable mentions go to the following-
    Erick with a flat 27 X 16
    River Hog with one 27 X 17
    River Runner Z with one 31 X 19

The three entries for the Channel Cat division were closely bunched. Once again the boat partners of Flaco651 and RiverHog showed they could still put fish in the boat.

The results for the Channel cats-

    1st palce-
    Flaco651 with what would be a small one at 27 X 14

    2nd place-
Chris Harden with on that came in at 25 X 13+

    Honorable mention to-
River Hog with one at 24.5 X 13

All pictures have been submitted to me and I will try and get them up thru out the day. Thanks for particapating, and look forward to doing it again next month……

Wished I would have entered. Little did I know I would be catching a fat 28.5 incher 18 inch girth.

    Congrats to the winners!

Mike/Terry/Dave & Chris – sorry – I got our submission in as fast as I could – unfortunately – it was at 12:07 – I think we would have had 2 placed fish What a disappointing end to an amazing night of fishing.
BTW – drove back to the launch and found my camera (that got ran over) like a cherry on top

Congrats to the other people who placed

Nothing like waking up at 7pm Sunday…

Here’s a couple more pictures. Jarrett left out that we also caught 5 softshells…or was it six? I was glad to see the nephew get a decent cat finally, as he’s gotten skunked with me plenty of times. Notice the belly on that channel. He caught it on a bullhead.

Not me Larry I don’t miss deadlines! I wrecked my prop Friday night and didn’t want to cram into some of the other guys in the tournaments boats although the offers were much appreciated.
I wasn’t even going to Fish until another participants boat malfunctioned on the water…. so we headed to spot X…
    …41 pounds later I banged a nice one. … Thanks Z~Man!

Congrats on your Fish Larry and to all the other particpants….

    Bob Moore you ROCK Dude!…

I’m sure you don’t miss your deadlines Pier ….. but there is still one more person out there…… That I’ll let remain nameless for now that had a channel that could have taken 1st if they had read the rules…..

Jarrett. Thanks for the invite. I had a blast. It was nice to meet some fellow catfishers.
Can’t say I recommend navigating that stretch of river in the dark again.

Thanks again to Mike and Dave for putting us on the spot.

Well, we didn’t exactly put us on the spot. Steve D. deserves the credit for acquainting me with that part river. Jarrett was the one who picked the actual base camp, so he gets the thanks for where we ultimately ended up. We should also thank the couple in the big boat who took our original spot we wanted to fish. Jarrett, thanks for the transportation. Thanks Bob for another fun tourney. Congrats to the winners.

It was a blast, but I told the GF if I pull another all nighter like that, I am taking Monday off!

I am not the one who planned it for a Sunday when I live 20 miles away. I am sure you were there to calm everyone down and not needle anyone about it.
