Here it is almost August, and the post spawn bite should be better than ever right now. What a time to hold a Cat Contest, with warm summer nights and the water levels are managable.
This next one will be held on Saturday August 2nd between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:00 am Sunday morning. The entry fee is $10.00 with total payout to the top two places in both Flathead and Channels. The control item will be given out the day of the contest. All pictures with lenght and girth measurements must be submitted to either this post, or to [email protected]. by 7:00 pm Sunday night to be eligable.
The boundries will be the trussel bridge in Carver, down stream to the confluence on the MN river. Pools 1 & 2 of the Mississippi (Coon paids damn to the Hastings damn). From the Acola bridge down stream to Prescott on the St. Croix.
This will be one of the two last Cat contest of the year. So if you want to take part, your chances are fading. We look forward to a great trunout like last time. Everyone please be careful out there, and lets catch some fish…..
