Did anyone else catch the show last night on Channel 2 “Under The Ice”. This was about sturgeon spearing over in Wisc. Just caught the tail end of the show. Biggest speared 188#s. Total speared for the 8 days, 1500. Looked like a huge event with a lot of people there.

Yes I did see the show, pretty interesting! Is this a good idea for the future of sturgeon? I would rather hook and line so I could release them, what a creature!My wife caught our first one 70lbs. on the rainy river last october what a blast, something she will never forget!
Yes what a show! Ive been wanting to do that for years and that makes me want to go even more, despite the low percentage of fish actually speared. 
I recorded it and watched it this morning.. it was a good show.. they said some people go 7 years without even seeing a fish.. i loved how the one shack had a oh s*** bar incase you dose off looking down the hole or are intoxicated
