While i was out chasing my walleyes this evening my Marcum 625SD got footage of something a little bigger than i was hoping for. I was cringing as i hoped she wouldn’t hit my demon lol! I was very impressed with the quality of the footage, as this river has very stained water. The 625 is living up to my expectations that’s for sure!

What do you sturgeon experts guess on length? There are a lot of 40 to 45 inchers that i have caught in the past few years, but this one looks a little bigger, but then i have never seen one on camera before.

In the words of my favorite accountant Grant, “What do you want it to be?”

I bet a quarter she would make a hair over 50…52 and I raise my bet to .50 cents.

    Nice capture!

That was interesting to see the minnow remain motionless then when the sturgeon was close it started to move. Cool video.

The minnow probably thought the world was ending haha!

I was really hoping it wouldnt hit, because i had the camera head and this rod 20 feet outside my house and a I ran the monitor from the 625 into my house so i could watch. The walleyes are really finiky right now so i didnt want that affecting my jigging rod inside my house, so thats why i put it a little ways away. If she would have hit, Im sure i would have lost the pole because i didnt leave the bail open lol.

Yeah i was very impressed Chris, as that water is about as stained as water gets lol. It looked like you and James had good results with it on Rainy too earlier in the year. Marcum sure makes a fine product here! I am more than impressed!
