I spent the last couple days camping at Sunrise Ferry Landing north of St Croix Falls on the St Croix river. We caught about 10 fish, but these were the biggest.

The first one was 35.5×19 and 19 lbs (not sure if the spring scale we were using was accurate).

The second fish was 33.5×20 and also 19 lbs.

That first one looks like a proto-catfish! Very cool fish guys! They still make Hamms?

LOL I thought the same thing. Careful, that untapped fishery could get tapped like a something dollar something on a Saturday night.

Unfortunately. It is brewed by Miller-Coors now, though.

Nice kitties! Those are some tanks.

Flavored water has it’s purpose. It’s Hamm’s I am not a fan of.

    Nope, I got it.

Hamm’s = bad. But there is a time and place for other beers of that caliber (aka flavored water).

Caught a couple like this today walleye fishing. They sure had some big bellies on them.

They must not have spawned yet.

Question for you catfish guys. Do you see many channels Jump? This one came completly out of the water. It was a very impresive sight . Never had one jump like that before.

I don’t recall who I was fishing with, but we did have a cat that thought it was a trout. Certainly an oddity!

She does have a bit of mid drift bulge huh?

Well it is a start. Pretty fun on bass gear. Got her by the whisker of her chinny-chin-chin. I was fortunate that it didn’t come out of the hole it tore. Fat little girl.

Nice to get out and see the scenery.

Pug! Is that photoshopped, or did you actually
    a) get out fishing and
    b) catch something!

Nice work. Some people whine about the high water and spawning channels. Others go out and hammer em

I wouldn’t call one fish in 2 trips to that spot hammering them.

But I won’t take anything away from her, she was a blast. Thought she was a flathead at first.

Tomorrow is the first adventure in my nephews dingy. Wish the water wasn’t so high and fast!

Nice, nice, nice. They are 3 different fish, right? I notice blood in the middle one, not in the other photos. But they all look like twins! Fat, fat and fat!

Nice fish! I guess you haven’t ever been chomped hard by a channel cat, eh? On a different board, a Fargo resident mentioned that an angry channel cat once broke TWO of his fingers. Ouch!
