After ice fishing this whole winter and throwing away countless shiners, would it be worth it to try and freeze them and use them as bait on the Mississippi RIver in the summer for channels? I found a spot last year down on the river that was PHENOMENAL for channels on P3…not being a catfish expert, would they work as cutbait? Next alternative would be chicken livers fresh off of the farm!

If they’re only frozen once they should be good.

    Twice froze they get mushy.

I already have a bag of frozen suckers and minnows started in the freezer. Suckers for cut bait and minnows to be mashed up for a stink bait “energizer”.
