Recieved this in an email from my father. Looks legit to me.

    guy who lives at Lake
    ace>Conroe

(50 miles north of Houston ) saw a ball bouncing
around kind of strange in the lake and went to
    investigate.

It turned out to be a flathead catfish that had
apparently tried to swallow a basketball which
    became
    stuck in its mouth!!

The fish was totally exhausted from
    trying to
dive, but unable to, because the ball would
    always
bring him back up to the surface.
The guy tried numerous times to
    get the ball out,
but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife
    cut
the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry
    catfish.

You probably wouldn’t have believed this,
    if
you hadn’t seen the following pictures:

That’s odd. My Skype avatar looks a lot like those.

I thought that fish was in an eagle’s nest?

I guess someone should tell him.

If you haven’t figured out by the odd replies, we’ve seen this posted many times. So you could say I am having a little harmless fun at your expense. But I’d post the email too, if I didn’t know it was an oldie but a goody.

    And indeed I is legit!

That was only for the 4th of July weekend. I forgot I was going to make a image for every holiday. I smell a catfish with a jack-o-lantern in it’s mouth post.

    I am on it.

Oops but I bet you never saw the one with the giant northern caught somewhere or the massive sturgeon.

    No! Do you have pictures?

It is hard to believe that as many times as they have been posted here and received in emails that there are still folks that haven’t seen them.

Kind of makes a person scratch their heads thinking about how big of a job the DNR has trying to make a change.

Or the Giant Catfish that looks suspiciously like a whale shark.

I remember before the coffee it was the dancing banana for me.

    putt2winn,

Thanks for being a good sport about this.

The gold fish is real for sure. Ralph Wiggim caught that one in Phalen. Or someplace.

    Go pug go!
