    Who’s headed out this weekend?

Sounds a little wet tonight. It’s going to be a good night for the Gamehide rain gear.

Suckers, crawlers and fatheads will be the table fair for the weekend!

Light winds in the evenings dropping water temps…all equal…FISH ON! WHOO HOOOO!

I’ll be out on the croix today from about 2pm until they quit biting or the lightning chases us off. Tan and blue crestliner with a Yamaha, I’ll have channel 16 on.

Thinking about heading out north of Marine on St Croix. Anyone ever fish for sturgeon up that way?

I do like sushi but I won’t be joining you for dinner anytime soon.

I will however be hitting the river as well. I’ll try my “secret” spot again.

I haven’t made plans, leastwise with anybody yet.

Have to play it by ear.

    Anyone else doing any good?

Was out yesterday afternoon. Wind and tons of giant wakes made fishing tough. It was an absolute zoo out there.

Not conducive for detecting the slight sucking strikes of a sturgeon. I hate that. I wonder on average how many fish are missed because they are not detected?

I know it’s a pita, but using a bank sinker and holding the rod with the line just over the side of the boat is better on a windy day.

It might not be the perfect set up, but you’ll get more fish than casting out and have your rod tip bouncing all over.

We got 9 last night. Biggest was mid 40s. All the usuall baits put fish in the boat.

Caught no sturgeon on Sunday. Just 1 nice channel cat. Weather and boat traffic was certainly nice enough to detect any bite, but only one I had was the channel.
