Venus, Mars and the Moon will be lighting up the night sky and tonight starting as early as 10:30-11 pm, we’ll be looking up to see one of the better meteor showers of the year.

Hopefully the cloud cover doesn’t block our view!

I finally caved in and bought a Thermacell, the things really do work! Looks like clouds tonight, but one is never sure unless you assess that first hand, correct?

If I get bit by mosquitoes in the shade in my backyard, it is a bad year for bugs. Must have been a good cicada hatch this year too or I have Tinnitus.

Lots of meteors and even more mosquitos last night near Red Wing. Broken swivel on only good hook-up of the night.

I learned this from my Aunt’s calendar. Haha, I’ve been looking forward to the night on the river. Heard it’s supposed to storm pretty bad though. We’re still planning to fish and will see how things look tomorrow night… *fingers crossed*

But are you sober? That’s what we really want to know after reading your post.

Too bad Brian didn’t see all the meteors on Saturday. I attribute to night blindness, an old man’s affliction. I bet Abe Lincoln would have it too if he were around today.

Whilst you two were gazing at the stars…someone had to watch the rods and watch out for those beavers!

All I kept hearing is “there’s one! Did you see THAT?” I would look up to a dark sky. I think you guys were pulling a fast one on me…all night.

PS Lincoln set the hook like a Nancy.

Hey, now… Pug had me beat on meteor spots by 10:1.

Why do you need to watch rods when you’re using clickers?

I think Abe may have actually set the hook like a Mary. Or a Todd. But I don’t recall there being any Nancy’s around at the time.

OH well, at least I think I’m funny.
