If anyone needs bullheads they are thick at the dam on the Crow River in Watertown
Most are 6-7″ and will hit anything you put in the water.

    The “10 inch Bullhead Rule”

We’ll be able to keep and transport (alive) the 288 bullheads 7 inches and under as we have in the past and we’ll also be able to keep and transport 100 more bullies up to 10 inches.

Maybe I should say it this way. We can keep and transport 388 live bullheads with no more than 100 being over 7 inches but less than 10 inches.

There is a restriction for taking North of Hi-way 210.

Although it’s the cat guys will benefit from this rule change, the Musky, Bass and Walleye guys will too.

I’ll take 6-7″ bullheads if I can get a few dozen in less than a half hour and not cut into the real fishing.

Personally I like the 7 to 8 inchers. But anything over 6 inches I’m happy with.

Anything smaller than 6 inches and the walleyes swallow them too fast.

Glad you’re back from vaca, dude… without your walleye-bashing to keep things interesting last week was doubly boring.

That wasn’t really bashing walleyes. If I’m in a known walleye hang out, I’ll use larger bullheads too keep the eye from swallowing the hook too far down. Using a larger bully will keep the hook towards the mouth and helping to ensure a healthy release.

I really don’t see a reason to kill anything that starts with “Trophy” personally and try to do things to avoid it….even for the lowly eyes.

Remember, I was with two walleye guys. Give me a couple days for the brain washing to wear off.

Oh, man… how could you stand it?? They don’t even smell like flathead fishermen!

A whole week in that complete lack of stink? How did you survive?

Every time I get in my jeep, I smell the sweet smell of stink bait coming off of my fishing gear in the back… It helps keep my priorities straight (thinking about the right fish and constantly wondering if I’ve got enough time to go sit at the river a while)
