Everts overnighter

I took my Wife and daughters down to Everts Sunday afternoon for an overnight stay in one of their cabins. We did a little of everything, puttin around in the boat, hangin out on a beach picnicking, getting rained on,and of course fishing, albeit mostly from the beach

My youngest daughter was on a quest. She wanted “to catch a really big fish Dad” so I rigged her up with cut sucker. Well, we had a few hit and quits, but it wasn’t to be. In the mean time I tried some Sonnys and all I could manage was “what is that NASTY smell?” from all three of the ladies.

Later in the evening around 10:30 she finally managed to get a smaller channel off the dock on a crawler.

We ended the trip with a few sheepies, a few smaller channel cats, and a whole lot of fun. Next time it will be for a few more days for sure! Thanks Dean for your great hospitality, and you were right, that cabin worked out great for our family.

I have a secret Everts spot I could have shared with you that your family would have loved.

The family and I have always enjoyed our time u there,just the solitude of the river and area is enuff and catching fish is a bonus

An over nighter is just to too short of a trip to explore ALL the fishing possibilities in that area, never less its just nice to break away from the work week and just go.

BK, I hung around and chatted with Dean and Randy for a while,got things situated in the cabin, then headed out with the ladies. Maybe next time for sure!

I agree Jeff, I’ts all about family time together, and an overnighter is not enough time, but I wanted to see what the family thought about the place (kinda a trial run).
And, I would love to get together and go cattin sometime!

Yeah, me too! There’s enough estrogen in my house with two teenage daughters and the wife. Man, even the family dog is a female.

Dude, I feel your pain. Wife, daughter, roommate, one of the two dogs and both the pet rats were female. I saw “were” because we recently gave the rats away.

We used to have a family friend and HER DAUGHTER staying here on the weekends for a while, too… which put us at 8 to 2 (the other dog is a dude at least).

I was afraid I was gonna grow boobs just from estrogen contact high if I spent too much time at home!

At one time had FW, 3 daughters and about 60 black and white bovines. No longer have the bovines, actually they were the most sane of all.
