We did alright last night. Mallory started off with a 29 on Sonny’s. I got one as big to the boat, but she broke loose. The next two were mine, a skinny 22 on sonny’s and a 31 on cut chubs.

It’s a nice change to catch some fish.

I knew she could do it!

Now Mike, isn’t it true her lips are softer?
Just wait ’till she kisses a flathead!

Looks like you two had a good time, great!

    …and thanks for sharing.

I have to kiss MORE?! Haha, I kissed Mike sometime throughout the night too and tasted fish slime. Delicious.

Say somewheres down the river more where we caught the biggin I casted some cut bait into the river and it drifted down (all pretty normal, right?) But then my line was UP STREAM from the current and seemed suctioned to the ground. I don’t think I got any line in the drag kept pullin before it snapped off. Lost the hook left the sinker. It all was very twilight zone-ish as our other poles were clickin weird too. Ideas? Mike says something took it up river and snagged it on a log

Anyone know if BK learned to scuba yet?

Yeah, I’m thinking Mike’s right on since cut bait and lead has a hard time moving up stream. The only other thing it could be is if your anchor let loose and you drifted down a bit. Since it was only one rod/line…let’s go with a fish.

BTW Mike, Mallory, met Herb. Herb is the only guy I’ve ever met that used diving gear (not scuba because it wasn’t invented yet) to collect clams from the Mississippi River. They were used to make buttons before I was born and likely before your parents were born. Hence the 6 feet under.

    I’m getting off track here….again.

    I couldn’t help but notice the PFD’s.

Old School Orange… I like it.

However there appears to be a wardrobe change from orange to brown. Hmmmm….

Actually the change was from brown to orange. Mallory wasn’t wearing a pfd until after her picture was taken. First it was orange, but she decided she didn’t like it. And that’s when the switch happened.
