I took a Gamble. Actually two Gambles…Mr. and Mrs. Gamble out over the weekend.

It was Mr. Gambles birthday and his lovely wife decided to give him a cat trip.

The fish came early and really slowed as darkness fell.

Best for the night was a shade over 19 pounds.

Mrs. Gamble looked a little confused when I asked her if she had any hand sanitizer or knitting along.

Another Pool 4 personal best caught and released.

I expected a cheap picture of BK and several flat heads around a table playing poker. Surprise. Nice fish.

I always figure noodling was gambling.

It’s always a gamble when you stick an appendage into a strange dark wet hole.

What if that appendage is encased in a latex environmental protection suit?

It may not protect from the shearing forces of an alligator snapper’s jaws, but it’ll sure keep the appendage dry and free of biohazards and excess moisture.
