Got my answer about how long flathead eggs take to hatch.

10 days? Or was that how long it takes them to leave the nest?

I haven’t had time to read it.

The eggs hatch in six to 10 days (depending on water temperature)

Good article, but it didn’t say anything about what the females do after the spawn while the males are guarding the nest. Post-spawn can be an awesome time to fish for other species because fish eventually start feeding heavily, presumably to recoup. Seems to me that cats must do the same???
