Spring Blues

    I made a trip down to LaSalle Lake near Marsailles IL yesterday. It’s about a three hour drive from Madison. Had a great time and broke my personal best for blue cats three times in one day. The first one was 14 pounds, the next was 25 pounds, the next 20 pounds and the last one was 26 pounds. I was using blue gill heads and guts for bait. They’re all still swimming to be caught another day.

    Looks like fun! I Got this one the day after X-mas. We were staying at my inlaws in N.Carolina, but I’m not makin’ any mother in law jokes anymore.

    Yeah Dave, that was really fun. I thought I was going to break a rod there a couple of times. I’m using Troph-e-cat rods from Catfish Connection. They’re cheap rods but they held up to the fight.
