You are one of the lucky ones.

Many people have put in a lot of hours and have never caught the largest filter feeder of the “sippi. Then there are others that have snagged or wrapped there line around a number of them.

If you’re ever looking for something to do…google paddle fish and read some of the papers on them. Strangely unique.

Congrats! It takes a bit of finesse to get one of those old gals into the boat!

    Cool fish, way to go.

I caught my first up there on pool 4 a few years back on new Years Day, what a way to ring in the new year!

We saw you battle that all over ther river. looked like a tail snagger. That is the hardeest way to get em in. You covered at least 400 yrds. It was fun watching you guys chase it around.

    Nice one!!

We have quite the population of them here in Nebraska on the Missouri River in the Northeast corner of the state. We even have a snagging season. If you are lucky enough to get a tag you are guarenteed to get a fish. I did it several years ago and it was a blast. It’s also one of the most tastey fresh water fish in the world. There are rivers in the South where you can have a daily bag of 5 of them.
